The 2010 Pick n Pay Cape Argus Giro del Capo is a four-day national stage race which takes place in and around Cape Town and the Boland.
The first Giro was staged in 1992. Read more about its history here.
The event is traditionally referred to as the Giro del Capo, meaning "The Tour of the Cape". The 2010 event is sponsored by
Pick n Pay and Cape Argus and organised by the Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust, in conjunction with support from
the Pedal Power Association and Cycling South Africa.
Teams will battle it out over four stages between Tuesday, 9 March, and Friday, 12 March.
- Teams of six riders representing Trade Teams, Nations, Regions and Clubs will contest the race.
- Entry to the race is on a team basis and by invitation only. Teams comprise six riders; therefore individual entries and incomplete teams will not be accepted.
Reminder - to receive official approval and a place in the race convoy each team car must carry at least one other competent person in addition to the driver.
